Number of Known Nuclides

I am a nuclear physicist and have been asked (expected to know!) the exact number of nuclides which have been identified.  Do you happen to know this number?   I've found several references which state :  "approximately 1500".

We know about 3,000 isotopes by 2002. This number is increasing every year.
   237  Stable isotopes
   158  Half life >= 1 year
   431  Half life >= 1 day < 1 yr
   242  Half life >= 1 hour < 1 day

If we count the isomers too, we know 3,523 isomers (including ground level).
   237  Stable isotopes
   171  Half life >= 1 year
   485  Half life >= 1 day < 1 yr
   300  Half life >= 1 hour < 1 day

* corrected: April. 2002.
